Eagles gear range has by far some of the best products going, and this is no exception. Its design is fairly simple, yet it is effective. Besides the main design capacity for two M14 20 round (7.62mm) magazines in each pocket, it is capable of holding three 30 round M16 (5.56mm) magazines.
Infacti only have one on hand to test but i believe it will even take two AK47 30 round magazines. Thus making it a versatile magazine pouch. As usual the magazine attaches via molle, but this uses the sewn in 1inch webbing rather than the malice clips, which in some respects i actually prefer. They have some kind of thin plastic sandwiched between two layers of webbing which makes it more stiff and fits better against the carrier. They are secured down with poppers, which are a tight fit and wont come undone providing the pouches are correctly
weaved on. The pouches construction is made from 1000D cordura (Genuine Crye Precisio Multicam) , Around the waist of each pouch is a strip of heavy duty elastic which is tight enough to secure two M16 30 round magazines without them sliding around, despite their smaller width compared to the 7.62 magazines. The flap is secured by hook and loop (velcro) and is long enough to cover 3 M16 magazines easily, and also proves enough to secure even one M16 magazine with the elastic.
